Britain, France, Belgium, & Holland

This incredible 4 country tour (Britain, France, Belgium, & Holland) will bike through major cities and quaint villages to experience Europe's unique museums, monuments, people, and cultures.  The group makes a large loop; starting in southwestern Britain at Windsor Castle and Stonehenge. Then we ferry to France and follow the Seine River through Monet's Giverny, Versailles, and Paris. A train ride north takes us to Belgium to bike between the beautiful cities of Bruges and Ghent. In the Netherlands we'll bike through Amsterdam before we ferry back to Great Britain to cycle through East Anglia including Cambridge and finally 3 days in London before the flight home.

Paris, Versailles, Loire Valley, Venice, Florence & Rome

Enjoy a trip full of the finer things in life; culture, food and fun. We'll spend our first few days in Paris among the cafes, shops and museums. Heading west, we'll visit the magnificent Versailles, while meandering through it's many elaborate gardens and fountains. Then it's on to Loire Valley stopping to tour some of the many famous chateaus and the picturesque towns of the region. A train ride through the Alps will land us in Venice, Italy where the food is abundant and the streets of water are filled with gondolas. Ride south to visit Florence where we'll enjoy our visit to the Duomo while sampling the many flavors of gelato. Once in Rome we'll see the colossus Coliseum as well as the Vatican. Maybe even catch a glimpse of the Pope!

C & O Canal Trek          16 days
Pittsburgh, Ohiopyle, Harper's Ferry, Washington DC

Imagine biking from Pittsburgh to Washington, DC (340+ miles) all off-road on the Allegany Rail to Trail and the C&O Canal Tow Path.  No cars or traffic as we leave Pittsburgh on trails winding alongside the Youghiogheny River to Ohiopyle, PA for white water rafting and Frank Lloyd Wright's "Fallingwater" home. Enjoy the cool shade from the canopy of trees on either side of the path as well as well as the natural air conditioning each tunnel provides. Other highlights include: biking through a 3/4 mile tunnel, riding a 19th century canal boat, and visiting the Civil War town of Harper's Ferry.  The last 2 days we'll sight-see in our nation's capital.

Seattle, Vancouver, Olympic National Park

Biking north out of Seattle we'll follow the breathtaking views overlooking the Puget Sound through hip Washington towns and up to vibrant Vancouver, Canada.  Ferries will take us through the San Juan Islands and to the city of Victoria, BC and back to Washington to spend 3 days in Olympic National Park.  Biking south we'll visit the historic city of Port Townsend, the lovely Birch Bay that features the warmest and safest salt water beach on the coast, and Vashon Island with a hostel that features teepees and covered wagons for sleeping  Spend the final 2 days sightseeing and enjoying great restaurants in Seattle.

Cross the George Washington Bridge and ride north along the scenic Palisades to Bear Mountain  Follow the Hudson Valley past FDR and Vanderbilt mansions and into Albany to visit NY's capitol.  As we bike into the Adirondacks we'll take a cruise across Lake George and head through Vermont to  Burlington.  As we enter Canada's French Quebec province we'll visit European-like small towns and then ride into downtown Montreal, spending the last 2 days sightseeing and shopping in this great city.

Maine Coast Trek         16 days
Boston, Portsmouth, Rockport, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor

The beautiful harbors, small towns, and back roads nestled along the coastline from Boston, MA  to Bar Harbor, ME are the setting for this amazing, biking adventure.  Just north of Boston we'll cycle through historic and seafaring cities and then head into New Hampshire to find its beautiful beaches, resort towns, and state parks.  The cities of Portsmouth and Portland are rich in maritime history and culture but shopping we'll leave for nearby Rockport, the renowned home of LL Bean.  We'll bike the brand new Penobscot Narrows bridge and ascend the 420' Observatory providing 100-mile panoramic vistas.  Once in  Acadia National Park we'll bike the miles of 'carriage roads throughout the park, hike Cadillac Mountain and find the trendy shops and eateries in Bar Harbor.

Bike from one end of gorgeous Massachusetts to the other.  Ferry from Boston to "Dunes Edge" Provincetown and then bike across Cape Cod stopping at beautiful beaches and state parks. Visit Six Flags New England amusement park, then it's off to the Connecticut River Valley region home of the 5 Colleges (Smith, Amherst, Hampshire, Mt. Holyoke & UMAS). Ride through the picturesque towns of Great Barrington and Lenox, while enjoying the Tanglewood Music festival. The final days we'll travel through the rolling Berkshires and to Albany, NY for the train/bus back to Boston.

Seattle to New York

Welcome to our toughest trip.  Cycling from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean along a 3600+ mile northern TranAm route.  Ride through Washington, Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, Minnesota, and south under the Great Lakes. Follow  the Erie Canal bike route across NY to the Hudson River and a short 150 miles to NYC.  The adventures and experiences are endless, but don't kid yourself you must be in good shape.  There will no doubt be days when close to 90 miles will have to be ridden.  Days when you will face strong headwinds and mountainous terrain.  If you enjoy pitting yourself against the elements and find satisfaction in being part of Teen Treks most rugged trip, than this is for you.

Cape Cod Trek           14 days
Boston, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket & Provincetown

The ride south out of Boston takes us  past Plymouth Rock and onto Cape Cod.  We'll take a ferry to Martha's Vineyard and then Nantucket  to find awesome beaches, unique towns, and great hostels.  Back on the Cape, the Cape Cod Rail Trail and National Seashore Bicycle Trail take us through the fishing and resort towns of Eastham, Wellfleet, and Truro.  Provincetown offers amazing beaches, towering sand dunes,  trendy eateries, and the awesome sand dunes bike path.  We'll ferry back to Boston to spend a final 2 days visiting Faneuil Hall, Harvard Sq., Shakespeare in the Park, and trendy eateries/shops.

Connecticut & Rhode Island Shoreline Trek 10 days
New York, Hammonasset State Park, Mystic Seaport, Block Island, Newport

The shorelines of Connecticut and Rhode Island are covered with sandy beaches, winding back roads, and small New England style towns; a biker's paradise. After a brief train ride to New Haven we'll follow the coast through scenic towns of Guilford and Madison to the miles of sandy beaches at Hammonasset State Park.  Over the next few days we'll bike through quaint Old Saybrook and New London to Mystic Seaport, a living history museum depicting coastal New England in the 19th century.  In Rhode Island we'll follow the coastline and catch a ferry to Block Island, featuring 17 miles of pristine beaches and great bike paths.  Another ferry will land us in Newport for a tour of the grand mansions and then we'll ride north for 2 days in Providence before a bus ride to NYC.

Lake Ontario Trek          21 days
Niagara Falls, Toronto, & the 1000 Islands

Ride around the entire Lake Ontario on an international adventure that includes the natural wonder of Niagara Falls, the cosmopolitan city of Toronto, Canada and the beautiful 1000 Islands. We'll bike along the Niagara River and take the Maid of the Mist boat ride below the falls.  It will take several days to then cycle to Toronto and along the way we'll see the enormous lake freighters on the Welland Canal, swim at the Confederation Water Park, and bike the Seaway Trail.   In Toronto we will visit the Toronto Islands, major museums, and Toronto's Chinatown.  As we head to the 1000 Islands on bike paths and back roads we will find many beaches, and provincial parks and sleep in the famous HI-AYH Lighthouse Hostel.  Back in New York State, on the south side of the lake we'll find great road biking and scenery and we'll visit Chimney Bluffs, Rochester, and portions of the Erie Canal.

New York RATS Trek          21 days
New York, Albany, Niagara Falls, Buffalo

The New York Ride Across the State (RATS) leaves New York City by way of the famous George Washington bridge. Bike north along the Hudson River through the Palisades, Bear Mountain, and towards the grand mansions of Vanderbilt and FDR. After a visit to historic Albany, we will ride on the Erie Canal bike path through the scenic Mohawk Valley towns and towards Syracuse. The group will visit the Woman's Rights National Park followed by a ride through the Finger Lakes visiting .Seneca Falls, Waterloo, and Geneva.  Back to the Erie Canal we'll head across western NY through Rochester and the old port towns of Brockport, Spencerport, Lockport.  The last few days we'll spend in Niagara Falls and Buffalo.

Follow the Long Island Sound and Atlantic coastlines between New York and Boston for an amazing biking adventure.  We'll hop a train to get us out of NYC and bike through beautiful Connecticut towns & winding coastal roadways.  We'll stop in the historic seaport cities of Mystic  & Groton before experiencing the white  Rhode Island beaches on our way to Block Island--a rider's paradise.  A ferry will take us to Newport  to tour the great mansions and the group will ride the East Bay Bike Path to Providence.  Then we're heading for 5 days on Cape Cod, famous for its expansive beaches, rolling sand dunes, gabled-roofed, gray shingled houses and fabulous ice cream.  Well spend the last 2 days in Boston before taking a bus to NYC.
